COVER SUPERVISOR

Salary : Local Government Scale : points 17 -21
Range: £16,830 - £19,125 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 31.5 hours per week (term time only)
We wish to appoint a person with strong communication and organisational skills as Cover Supervisors in this highly successful and popular 11-18 mixed comprehensive school, to start as soon as possible. The main duties of the post is:
• in class supervision for pupils when the teacher timetabled for the class is absent.
• providing pastoral support, which includes student mentoring, supervising students withdrawn from lessons and some pastoral administration work.
The successful applicant will have
• experience of working in a school or with young people
• the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students at all levels of ability and to work as part of a team
