We are looking to recruit a part-time assistant for the running and maintenance of the Robotic Crystallisation Facility at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge, UK. The facility includes eight automated systems, has around 80 active users and it is critical for the most Structural Biology efforts at the LMB.
This is a rare opportunity to work within a world-leading basic research environment. The main duties include: maintenance, troubleshooting, basic repairs, staff training as well as assistance with the production of initial crystallisation screens.
Appointment will be made at MRC Band 5. Excellent communication skills and technical expertise with scientific precision instrumentation are essential. A relevant degree is desirable.
