IT Director
3 year fixed-term contract, part-time (14.5 hours per week)
Salary: In the region of £60k p.a. pro rata (depending on qualifications and experience) plus benefits
St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a new IT Director to direct the provision of high quality and cost-effective IT throughout the College in order to enable the College to fulfil its strategic aims. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the College in a senior role.
Reporting to the Domestic Bursar, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the IT strategy ensuring that it aligns with the College’s strategic plan and that there is comprehensive engagement and understanding from staff. You will provide a focus of expertise and coaching and will direct and lead IT support to deliver projects and process improvement across the College.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, and will be able to demonstrate a record of significant achievement in IT management and leadership. You will have a proven ability to develop, motivate and deliver both strategically and at an operational level. You will also have exceptional communication skills with the ability to deliver change.
